Jamaica’s murder tally is nearing the 100 mark.

According to the latest crime data released by the Jamaica Constabulary Force, 92 people were murdered up to Saturday, February 15.

This is 29 fewer than the 121 recorded in the same period last year.

The St. Andrew South Division had the highest number of murders, with 17, followed by St. Catherine South, with 12.

Trelawny is the only division without a murder.

The JCF is also reporting that cases of rape declined by 55.

Meanwhile, break-ins increased by 9 and robberies remained the same as last year at 81.
