Jamaica’s death toll from hurricane Melissa has increased to 32.

Information Minister Dr. Dana Morris Dixon made the disclosure at a press briefing this afternoon.

The update comes almost a week after category 5 Melissa made landfall in Jamaica.

She said this number is expected to increase, as there are at least 8 other unconfirmed cases which are being verified.
