Jamaica’s agricultural sector grew by 13.7% between April and June

Jamaica’s agricultural sector grew by 13.7% between April and June of 2025.
This is up from 3.1% growth for January to March, when the island, for the first time recorded 221,000 tonnes of production in a quarter.
Minister of Agriculture, Floyd Green made the disclosure at the Denbigh Agricultural, Industrial and Food Show in Clarendon on Saturday.
He said in the second quarter of 2025, the production by farmers was approximately 232,000 tonnes.
Mr. Green noted that the growth occurred, despite the setbacks caused by Hurricane Beryl.
