Jamaicans urged to maintain good doctor/patient relationships to ensure medical problems are adequately treated
Medical Chief of Staff at the University Hospital of the West Indies, Dr. Carl Bruce is encouraging Jamaicans to maintain good doctor/patient relationships to ensure their medical problems are being adequately treated.
Speaking with IRIE FM News, Dr. Bruce explains that the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted the medical care of many chronically ill patients in Jamaica and across the world.
He explains even further that though the pandemic has passed, emergency departments at hospitals are now dealing with increased cases of complications from chronic diseases following disruptions in care.
As a result, Dr. Bruce is appealing to citizens to visit their nearest healthcare provider to get their medical conditions back under control.
