Jamaicans urged to drive responsibly this Heroes Weekend
As Jamaicans prepare for the heroes’ weekend celebrations, Vice Chairman of the National Road Safety Council, Dr. Lucien Jones is urging motorists to drive responsibly.
Dr. Jones says while the country is seeing a 10% reduction in overall road fatalities compared to last year, there has been a surge in fatal crashes in recent months.
He notes that Jamaica is at risk of surpassing the 400 road fatality mark for this year.
Dr. Jones is urging partygoers to ensure they have a designated driver and that they don’t drink and drive.
