Jamaicans in Kuwait trying to be optimistic amidst unrest in the region

Some Jamaicans in the Middle East are trying to be optimistic amidst unrest in the region.

Jamaica’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade says it is monitoring military hostilities and hopes for an early resolution.

The ministry urges all Jamaicans in the region to exercise vigilance and to shelter in place as conditions may require.

In the meantime, a Jamaican teacher in Kuwait says along with other Jamaicans in the area she is monitoring the situation and prioritizing safety.

She notes that a missile was intercepted in the country on Saturday.

The educator explains that apart from minor issues, it is business as usual in Kuwait.
