Jamaican Sprint legend Usain Bolt urges rising Australian sprint star Gout Gout to remain focus
Jamaican Sprint legend Usain Bolt, has urged rising Australian sprint star Gout Gout, to find a good support network to keep him focused on his career as a rising sprint sensation.
Gout who is 18 years old, retained the 200 meters title at the Australian Athletics Championships on April 12, clocking 19.67 seconds, and in the process eclipsed US sprinter Erriyon Knighton’s World Under 20 record of 19.69 seconds.
The Australian also broke Bolt’s fastest time that he ran as teenager 19.93 seconds set back in 2004, and Bolt speaking with CNN , advided the youngster to stay on top of his game, by not becoming distracted.
Meanwhile, Gout is set to make his Diamond League debut in the 200 meters in Oslo, Norway, on June 10, but has indicated he will skip the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland, to focus on the World Under 20 Championships in Oregon, U.S.A in August.
