Jamaican man sentenced for drug smuggling in the US to be deported
A Jamaican man, convicted on drug smuggling charges, by authorities in the United States is to be deported, after being sentenced to over 2 years.
A statement from the U-S attorney’s office for the Northern District of New York, said 61-year-old Leon Byrd, who was residing in Winthrop, New York, was sentenced to 26 months in prison, for possessing and distributing cocaine and methamphetamine.
