Jamaica will have to increase training programmes and consider importing labour amidst record low unemployment – Metry Seaga
President of the Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica (PSOJ) Metry Seaga says Jamaica will have to increase its training programmes and consider the importation of labour to fill jobs as the unemployment rate falls.
Speaking last evening at the Sagicor Investments Money Talks Forum, Mr. Seaga noted that the current unemployment rate of 4.2% is significant compared to the previous double digits the country has seen.
He said with more people working, this leads to issues with finding employees for some fields.
