Jamaica Teachers’ Association calls for urgent implementation of recommendations from Patterson report
The Jamaica Teachers’ Association (JTA) is calling for the urgent implementation of recommendations from the Patterson report as one strategy to transform the education sector.
Last October, the Education Transformation Oversight Committee (E-TOC) reported that it had commenced work on 136 of the 365 recommendations in the report.
In his New Year’s message, JTA President, Dr. Mark Smith says the recommendations need to be implemented if Jamaica is serious about having a successful education sector.
