Jamaica strikes gold at Central American and Caribbean Games in El Salvador
Jamaica struck gold for the first time at the Central American and Caribbean Games in El Salvador last night.
This when sprinter Yanique Dale won the women’s 200 meters in a time of 22.80 seconds.
Dale who was capturing her second medal at the CAC games after a second place finish in the 100 meters finished ahead of Yunies-ledy Garcia of Cuba 23.05 and Fior-Daliza Cofil of the Dominican Republic 23.07 seconds.
Jamaica’s medal tally at the games now stands at ten including 1 gold, five silver and four bronze.
Jamaica now sits in 14th place on the medals table behind overall leader Mexico with 278 including 116 gold, 87 silver and 75 bronze.
