Jamaica Football Past Players Association up and running
General Manager of the Sports Development Foundation Denzil Wilks has lauded the newly rebranded Jamaica Football Past Players Association (JFPPA) after it became a registered non profit organisation on the Companies of Jamaica act.
The official announcement was made yesterday as the aims and objectives of the organisation were outlined by President and former Jamaica international Neville Oxford.
The past players association provide assistance for past Jamaica players who have fallen on hard times, to recognize past players in conjunction with the JFF on an annual basis, promote fundraisers.
The association also expect to have a vote on the JFF executive and provide expertise.
At present there is a data base of over 300 past national players and among them 20 are in dire need
Vice President Michael Tulloch spoke about some of their early plans going forward.
