Jamaica now boasts the most favourable economic environment since gaining independence.

That is according to Prime Minister Andrew Holness.

He made the statement while speaking at the opening ceremony for the Jamaica Stock Exchange’s conference last evening.

He said since the COVID pandemic, the country has registered 10 consecutive quarters of economic growth.

According to the Prime Minister, this is linked to his administration having the longest unbroken period of economic expansion since independence.

He made the statements as he sought to highlight the economic gains made since taking office.
