Jamaica needs more human capital development to continue tackling economic crisis – Clarke
Finance Minister, Dr. Nigel Clarke, says Jamaica needs more human capital development, to continue tackling the economic crisis that the country has been facing for years.
He was speaking at the farewell function for the second cohort of Jamaica house fellows, in Kingston, on Wednesday.
The programme allows for young Jamaicans, to support priority initiatives in the public sector, be involved in decision making, as well as participate in national development and governance.
Dr. Clarke said public bureaucracy is needed, to drive a better economy and this can be achieved through contributions from the youth.
He said the government remains committed to ensuring that Jamaica‘s public sector is rated as first class.
