Culture and Entertainment Minister Olivia Grange has expressed sadness at the passing of dancehall artiste Donald Cox, popularly known as ‘Danny English.’

In a statement, Ms. Grange noted that Cox passed away this morning.

She noted that he was a vibrant and influential figure in Jamaica’s dancehall scene, bringing joy to many with his music.

Ms. Grange said Danny English’s contribution to the cultural landscape, especially with hits like ‘Party Time’ with Egg Nog in 2002, will always be remembered.

She expressed heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and fans during this difficult time.
