Jamaica Civil Service Association welcomes resolution of increments matter under Government’s compensation restructuring exercise

The Jamaica Civil Service Association (JCSA) has welcomed the resolution of the outstanding matter of payment of increments under the Government’s compensation restructuring exercise.

The Jamaica Confederation of Trade Unions, which includes the JCSA, has been collaborating with the Finance Ministry to resolve the matter which stemmed from a September 2024 agreement.

JCSA President Techa Clarke-Griffiths said a circular issued by the Ministry yesterday indicated that approval was granted for the advancement of applicable employees along their respective substantial salary bands effective April 1.

She also acknowledged the agreement between the Confederation and the Government to finalize the 2025 wage negotiations by April 30 this year.

The original timeline was March 31.
