Jah Cure’s cryptic Instagram stories have stirred confusion online, with some fans assuming the Reggae singer has been released from prison.

The “Longing For” hitmaker first shared a video showing an aerial view from a flight, followed by another clip overlooking the ocean from a luxury property. Though no captions or details accompanied the posts, social media users quickly began speculating that the artist is now a free man.

However, checks made by Music News reveal that Jah Cure remains in Dutch custody as he awaits a court hearing.

The entertainer is scheduled to appear before the Netherlands Court of Appeals on June 18th, where a decision will be made on whether Dutch prosecutors can proceed with an attempted murder charge.

Jah Cure was arrested in Amsterdam in October 2021 for stabbing a promoter and, in March 2022, was sentenced to six years for attempted manslaughter.
