In celebration of what would have been Jah B’s / Bunny Wailer’s 78^th birthday, today April 10, Solomonic Productions will host a concert later this evening in honour of the reggae trailblazer.

Slated for 8pm at 3 Greendale Avenue in Kingston, the free event dubbed Rootsman Skankin’ will feature performances from Leroy Sibbles, Bushman, Imeru Tafari, Naki Wailer and others backed by the Solomonic Reggaestra.

IRIE FM spoke with Jah B’s son, Naki Wailer who says though he misses his father, it’s still a joy to be able to celebrate him.

Today’s concert is part of a series of events held in honour of Bunny Wailer.

These include a symposium held yesterday April 9, an earthday nyabinghi and the opening of the Don Dada exhibition held earlier today at the Trench Town Culture Yard.

A three-time Grammy Award-winner, and a founding member of the Wailers, Neville “Bunny Wailer” Livingston passed away on March 2, 2021. He was 73 years old.
