The first in a series of Junior Athletes Anti-Doping education workshops put on by the Jamaica Anti -Doping Commission (JADCO) was staged today at the Jamaica Conference Centre, Downtown Kingston. 

Aimed at sensitizing junior athletes at the secondary and primary school levels, at the dangers of taking performance enhancing drugs, the workshops runs from 8:30 am to 2pm. 

The theme being used by JADCO for these workshops is ” empowering our athletes” . 

The next event will be held on October 9 in region 2 at the Tropics View Hotel in Mandeville, with the Sea Gardens Beach Resort hosting the region three workshop on October 16. 

The series of workshops culminates in region 4 on October 30 at the Cardiff hotel in Runaway Bay, St Ann.
