“It’s certainly not a time for panic, but it is the time for preparation”.

That’s the statement from Environment Minister Matthew Samuda, during this morning’s press conference on Tropical Storm Melissa at Jamaica House.

The Minister assured citizens that they will be updated on the weather system regularly and that
all agencies are on high alert.

Mr. Samuda also noted that the Government, through the National Water Commission, has engaged emergency protocols regarding hospitals and infirmaries.
