ISSA Scholastic All-DaCosta Cup & All-Manning Cup squads revealed
ISSA Ben Francis Cup champions St. Elizabeth Technical High School (STETHS) dominated the selections with seven players named on the 2024 Scholastic All-DaCosta Cup squad.
The STETHS aggregation includes forwards Shemmar Stewart, Justin McPherson and Jordan Blake, midfielders Joshaine Beecher and Kaieem Lewis along with defenders Raoul Hill and Najay Brown.
Back-to-back ISSA Champions winners Glenmuir, Frome Technical and Manchester High are the next best represented schools with 2 players each being selected to the Scholastic All-DaCosta Cup squad.
Glenmuir is represented by Tajaun Cummings and Nuemonie Blackwood, Frome by Kishmar Clayton and Clinton Beckford and Manchester by Sejiie Ashman and Shermaiah Salmon.
Completing the 18-man squad are goalkeeper Camoy Phillips of William Knibb, Javin Williams (Mannings), Rapheal Palmer (Cornwall College), Bonny Chisolm (Happy Grove) and Raheim Brown.
Veron Peterkin of Ocho Rios, Cleighton Stephens (Frome), and Omar Wedderburn (STETHS) have been named coaches.
Meanwhile, the 19-man Scholastic All-Manning Cup team is dominated by St. Georges College and Excelsior with four players each.
The quartet from St. Georges includes goalkeeper Jordan Knight, Oneil Mitchel, Zabir Taylor and Mathew Spence with Antwan Thomas, Aldino Nugent, Terence Williams and Shadeko WIzzard the four selected from Excelsior.
Also making the team are Elijah Whyte, Djaz Less and Alex James (Campion College), Tevin Grey and Rajae Taylor (St. Catherine), Derron Campbell (Hydel), Sheaquan Dunkley (Camperdown), Kevaun Campbell (Calabar) and Daquan Duhaney (Wolmers).
The coaches are Keon Broderick (Excelsior), Javaune Codlin (Vauxhall) and Newton Sterling (Campion College).
The Scholastic All-Manning and All-DaCosta Cup selections will face-off at the National Stadium on January 11 before the playoff between the All-Manning and All-DaCosta Cup teams.
