Internationally accomplished Javelin thrower Curtis Thompson to conduct Javelin coaching clinic in Jamaica
Internationally accomplished Javelin thrower Curtis Thompson will be in the island next week for a Javelin coaching clinic.
The event is a collaboration between the GC Foster College of Physical Education and Sport, and the Jamaica Athletics Administrative Association.
The clinic which will be held next Thursday is open to coaches and athletes at all levels and forms part of GC Foster College’s ongoing commitment to technical development,coach education, and athlete performance excellence within Jamaica’s track and field ecosystem.
The American Thompson who won a bronze medal at the 2025 World Championships will at the clinic share technical insights, training methodologies,and performance strategies drawn from his elite competitive experience.
The participants will benefit from both theoretical instruction and practical, on-field demonstrations designed to enhance skill execution and coaching effectiveness.
The clinic will be coordinated by coach Marlon Gayle, who noted that the session will provide a valuable opportunity for knowledge transfer and capacity building within the discipline.
