Minister of  Industry, Investment and Commerce, Senator Aubyn Hill says Jamaica’s industrial sector is entering a period of renewed stability and investment confidence, as construction begins on an industrial park in Lakes Pen, St. Catherine.

The development, being undertaken by Sygnus Real Estate Finance, follows recent regulatory sub-division approval.

It marks one of the first large-scale industrial projects to move forward since hurricane Melissa disrupted operations across several commercial corridors. 

The 55-acre site is expected to provide modern space for logistics and warehousing activities and support efforts to rebuild national economic capacity.

Speaking at the ground breaking ceremony of the park, recently Minister Hill said the initiative is central to strengthening Jamaica’s industrial future.
