The Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM) is probing the fatal shooting of 3 men by police, during separate incidents in Spanish Town, St. Catherine, today.

The identities of the dead men have not yet been released.

The incidents occurred at New Nursery, Dela Vega City, and Dam Head.

Details of the incidents were not available up to news time, as INDECOM investigators were still at the scenes.

Assistant Commissioner of INDECOM Hamish Campbell told IRIE FM News that the police reported that they recovered firearms at each scene.

Campbell said no body camera was worn by any of the involved officers.

Since the start of the year, 176 people have been fatally shot by members of the security forces.
