The increase in buses operated by the Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC) has contributed to the 1.3 per cent growth in the country’s transport and storage sector.

Director General of the Planning Institute of Jamaica, Dr. Wayne Henry said the increase in the land-transport component, particularly the number of JUTC buses dispatched, augured well for the sector.

Dr. Henry was speaking at a quarterly press conference this morning.
