The first New York international showcase track meet for high schools, a brain child of Jamaican Olympian Sanjay Ayre, will be staged at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex in Staten Island.

The two-day event is scheduled to take place on January 24 and 25 is expected to attract up to 2500 participants.

Ayre  who is also the driving force behind the East Coast International showcase, has planned the upcoming meet as an annual event and is said to be making a personal six-figure investment to get this latest showcase off the ground.
