Illegal structures in Bernard Lodge area to be demolished
Come tomorrow, demolition will begin on several illegal structures that were constructed in a section of Bernard lodge, next to the Clifton community, in St. Catherine.
Prime Minister Andrew Holness told parliament today that unfinished buildings will be taken down first, while the government discusses options with occupants of the completed buildings.
Mr. Holness said the capture land beside the Clifton community is being run by criminals who have been illegally selling government property to unsuspecting citizens.
He said this will not be tolerated.
The Prime Minister also urged citizens to be vigilant when buying lands on which to build their homes.
