IC submits additional investigation reports to Parliament

The Integrity Commission (IC) submitted to Parliament today, two additional investigation reports as well as an addendum to the investigation report it sent last week.

In a statement, the IC said in keeping with its previously made commitment, it is notifying the public of the two additional investigation reports it submitted to Parliament for tabling.

The additional reports were formally received and signed for at Gordon House at 2:20 P.M., while the addendum was received and signed for at 11:04 A.M.

Hard copies of the reports were submitted in separate envelopes under cover of identical letters, addressed to House Speaker Juliet Holness, Senate President, Tom Tavares -Finson and House Clerk Colleen Lowe.

The commission anticipates that the investigation reports will be tabled in both houses of parliament, as soon as possible.

These 2 additional reports follow one submitted last Thursday, September 5.

That report was submitted along with the indicative ruling and full ruling of the Director of Corruption prosecution.

A special report that is associated with the investigation report was also submitted to Parliament for tabling.

Hard copies of that report were submitted to Deputy House Speaker Heroy Clarke, as well to the House Speaker, Senate President and House Clerk.

In the wake of the submission of the report last week, the commission sent an addendum today which is a substantiating 6 page third party witness statement that is germane to the report.

The commission explained that the statement was submitted to the commission by the witness on Friday, September 6, at 2:46 P.M., after the commission had already submitted the report to Parliament for tabling on Thursday, September 5.

The commission said the substantiating addendum is not meant to alter, in any respect, the findings, conclusions or recommendations that are in the report.

Hard copies of the addendum were submitted to the House Clerk, Deputy House Speaker, House Speaker and Senate President.
