IC indicates that it is not responsible for the leaking of any of its investigation reports to the media
The Integrity Commission (IC) has indicated that it is not responsible for the leaking of any of its investigation reports to the media.
This statement from the Chairman and Commissioners of the IC comes after purported contents of a report from the commission emerged in mainstream media yesterday afternoon.
The IC said it submitted the report to Parliament Last Thursday.
The Government and Opposition have expressed concern about the leak.
According to the commission it has not divulged and will never, in any way, divulge information that is contrary to the requirements of the law
It reiterated that it is a breach of the IC act to report or make any public statement on an investigation report which has not been tabled.
The commission is urging the public to await Parliament’s tabling of all reports.
The report in question is expected to be tabled in Parliament next Tuesday, September 17.
