“I want to medal” Fletcher has U20 World Champs in sight
Following her sensational run that helped Hydel High secure an historic five straight victories at the Penn Relays last weekend, Nastassia Fletcher is hoping to continue that good form into this weekend’s fifth staging of the East Coast International showcase at Morgan State University in Maryland.

The outstanding 17-year-old ran a blistering leg to hand Hydel the victory over Edwin Allen in the 4×400 meters as she completed her Penn Relays allocated years in fine style, with her being a part of four of the five straight victories.

While reflecting on her season so far, both at the ISSA Boys and Girls champs, where she won the class one 400 meters hurdles and took the runner-up spot in the 400 meters, as well as her fantastic Penn Relays run, Fletcher, who still has one more year remaining in high school, is hoping for the best come this weekend.
Fletcher added that her main goal this season is to make the national team for the under-20 World Championships in Oregon, with a medal also on her mind.
Irie FM will have live coverage of the East Coast International Showcase on Saturday
