Juliet Holness, speaker of the House of Representatives, is leading a four-person delegation from the Jamaican parliament to Trinidad and Tobago.

The delegation, which includes clerk to the houses, Colleen Lowe, will meet with officials from the parliament of Trinidad and Tobago.

The delegation will examine the procedures, corporate governance structure, and the integration of the parliament of Trinidad and Tobago’s use of information technology in their parliamentary processes.

Members of the delegation will also meet with their counterparts to discuss matters of mutual interest to both parliaments and observe first-hand the operations of the parliament in the twin-island republic.

Mrs. Holness says the visit will help the Jamaican parliament to implement technology that will help it better serve Jamaicans.
