Holness urges road users to take special care as road fatalities reach 417
With 417 road fatalities recorded so far this year, Prime Minister Andrew Holness is urging road users to take special care, as they use public thoroughfares.
In an address on his social media, the prime minister said he was deeply concerned by the numerous road accidents over the last few days and the number of Jamaicans killed on the roads.
Noting that leading up to the new year many Jamaicans will be immersed in celebratory activities, Mr. Holness urged citizens to be careful on the roads.
He added that safety on the roads is the responsibility of all citizens.
