Holness urges Jamaicans to pray for the country
With Ash Wednesday just days away, Prime Minister Andrew Holness is encouraging Jamaicans to pray for the country.
Ash Wednesday will be observed this Wednesday, February 14.
Mr. Holness made the call during a devotional exercise, prior to the start of today’s cabinet meeting.
Members of the Jamaica Umbrella Group of Churches were part of the devotion.
The Prime Minister said prayer recognizes the limit of man. He urged Jamaicans to pray about their personal challenges, as well as those facing the country.
