Holness says legislation regarding mass shootings being examined
Prime Minister Andrew Holness said legislation regarding mass shooting incidents is being examined.
There have been a number of mass shootings in recent times, with the latest occurring along Bowens Road in St. Andrew on Saturday night.
In that incident 8 people were shot, 2 fatally.
Earlier this year, there were also deadly mass shooting incidents in Cherry Tree Lane, Clarendon, and St. Catherine, among other areas.
Mr. Holness expressed concern about the issue.
He said these multiple shooting incidents should be treated as criminal terrorism.
He added that the incentives announced for information on the mass shooting in Cherry Tree Lane will be increased.
