Prime Minister Andrew Holness says the government remains cognizant of issues the public is facing in the health sector, and is advancing in its commitment to fix them.

He was speaking during a visit to downtown Montego Bay in St James, to inspect infrastructure projects, on Monday.

Mr. Holness noted that work is progressing in the region, to upgrade the Cornwall Regional Hospital, its adjacent type 5 hospital, and the regional adolescent hospital.

Mr. Holness also announced plans to enhance existing health facilities as well as to build new ones, in st. Catherine.
