Holness says country must appreciate healthcare workers who died by Covid-19 by valuing and supporting health care professionals

Prime Minister Andrew Holness says the appreciation for health care workers who lost their lives due to Covid-19, must be reflected in how the country values and supports health care professionals.

He made the statement at the official unveiling of the healthcare workers Covid-19 monument, at the National Chest Hospital in Kingston, yesterday.

The statement also came on the 5th anniversary of the first case of Covid-19 in the country which was reported on March 10, 2020.

The prime minister said the legacy of health care workers who died, lives on.

He called on the nation to commit to protecting those who dedicate their lives to caring for others.
