Holness reiterates importance of productivity in the civil service
Prime Minister Andrew Holness has reiterated the importance of enhanced productivity in the civil service.
This comes as the government advances the implementation of the next phase of the public-sector compensation review.
Speaking at the Jamaica Mortgage Bank ribbon cutting ceremony in Kingston, on Wednesday, he emphasized the need to advocate for the workforce to improve efficiency.
He noted that productivity is a complex issue, driven by motivation, and fuelled by compensation.
Mr Holness stated that it is good performance management that will elevate and establish a more effective workforce.
