Hear the Children’s Cry doubles down on call for National Child and Youth Audit
Advocacy group, Hear the Children’s Cry has doubled down on its call for the Government to conduct a National Child and Youth Audit.
This as one strategy to tackle the growing issue of child safety.
The Group’s Founder, Betty Ann Blaine says the focus should be placed on under-served and remote communities.
Ms. Blaine explains that there is need for an accurate and updated assessment of the conditions under which the country’s most vulnerable citizens – children – are living.
She maintains that this information can help to facilitate improvements in the areas of concern.
Ms. Blaine says it is also critical for the government to ensure that laws for the protection of children are enforced and that those who abuse and murder youngsters do not walk free.
