The health ministry said 4 dengue related deaths were recorded between last year and this year.

Portfolio minister Dr. Christopher Tufton made the disclosure in parliament today.

Dr. Tufton said the ministry usually sees a spike in dengue cases towards the end of the year, but the current numbers are below the normal threshold.

The minister noted that there is a concerning increase in the mosquito population.
