Health Minister promises to continue honouring sacrifice of healthcare workers who died while combating COVID-19 pandemic
Health and Wellness Minister Dr. Christopher Tufton has promised to continue honouring the sacrifice of healthcare workers who died while combating the COVID-19 pandemic.
He was speaking at the official unveiling of the healthcare workers COVID-19 monument at the National Chest Hospital this morning.
Today, March 10 marks five years since the introduction of COVID-19 in Jamaica, with the first case recorded on March 10, 2020. It is also the fourth year since the start of the recovery with the administration of vaccines.
Dr. Tufton said the Ministry will continue to build stronger healthcare systems and continue to support those who work on the frontline.
The Health Minister said while no word can fill the void left, the healthcare workers will not be forgotten.
