Health Minister Dr. Christopher Tufton stresses the need for flexibility in addressing challenges within the health sector
Health Minister, Dr. Christopher Tufton yesterday stressed the need for flexibility in addressing challenges that arise within the country’s health sector.
He was reacting to reports that a child’s surgery which was to be performed at the Bustamante Hospital for Children was put off because of challenges with one of the facility’s operating theatres.
According to the minister, the issue could easily have been addressed by applying flexibility to find a solution.
He explained that while there are rules and policies that govern how work is done, there is room for persons to think differently and apply solutions accordingly.
He added that better communication between health facilities could have solved the problem.
