Prime Minister Dr. Andrew Holness has lauded the Hanover police for a 48 per cent reduction in major crimes.

The parish also recorded a 75 per cent reduction in murders.

Speaking at yesterday’s Installation Ceremony of the new Custos for Hanover, Lennox Anderson Jackson, Prime Minister Holness highlighted that Hanover is among Jamaica’s safest parishes.

He noted that the collaboration between law enforcement and Justices of the Peace is a critical factor behind the improvement.
