Green & Chambers earn Concacaf Caribbean Cup awards as Mount Pleasant wins maiden title
Mount Pleasant’s historic Caribbean Cup triumph was further sweetened by individual recognition for two of its key performers, as forward Daniel Green and goalkeeper Tafari Chambers picked up major awards following the Concacaf Caribbean Cup Final.
Green, who featured for 61 minutes in the decisive return leg against Universidad O&M FC on Tuesday, was the recipient of the Best Player Award, which comes as reward for a campaign in which he delivered crucial attacking contributions, including two goals, as Mount Pleasant amassed an impressive 15 goals overall across the competition.
At the other end of the pitch, Chambers claimed the Best Goalkeeper Award, highlighted by a total of 17 saves and an immaculate group-stage run that saw Mount Pleasant go unbeaten with four consecutive clean sheets.

The remaining individual accolades included Universidad O&M FC’s Herard Frantzety, who won Top Goal Scorer with five goals, and Cibao FC’s Edwarlyn Reyes, who earned Best Young Player honours. Universidad O&M FC also received the Fair Play Award.
Mount Pleasant secured the regional crown with a 3–2 aggregate win after a 2–2 draw in the second leg at the National Stadium in Kingston. Warner Brown scored in the 61st minute before Tyreek Magee netted three minutes from time to seal the result.
The title also earns Mount Pleasant a place in the 2026 Concacaf Champions Cup, where they will advance directly to the Round of 16.
