Grange Hill High student killed, another wounded in gun attack yesterday
Two students of the Grange Hill High School in Westmoreland were shot, one fatally, yesterday.
The identity of the murdered 16-year old male student, has not yet been released.
The wounded female student has been hospitalised.
Reports are that at about 4:50 pm the children had just left a school event and were walking along the roadway, when gunmen on a motorcycle approached, and opened fire hitting them.
The students were taken to hospital where the boy was pronounced dead, and the girl admitted.
Commanding Officer for Westmoreland, Superintendent, Othneil Dobson said the wounds which the female student sustained are not considered life threatening.
