Grange describes Sting postponement as regrettable
Entertainment Minister Olivia Grange has described as regrettable the postponement of this year’s staging of popular dance hall show, sting.
The show was slated to be held yesterday, Boxing Day, at Jamworld Entertainment Centre in Portmore, St. Catherine.
However, just hours before the scheduled start, event organizers Supreme Promotions Limited announced the postponement.
The organisers cited issues with production company Clear Sound Production Services Group Limited, as the reason for the postponement.
In response, the production company pointed to what it deemed a breach of contract due to the nonpayment of monies.
In a statement, Ms. Grange outlined that her ministry had supported the promoters of the show in resolving various issues.
Ms. Grange said discussions are ongoing with the promoters.
She expressed hope that a rescheduled date will be announced soon.
