Grammy-winning Producer calls out Sean Kingston over unpaid tab amid fraud charges

Grammy-winning producer Alex Antaeus is urging US Federal Agents to add an additional charge to Sean Kingston’s indictment for a US$600 tab he walked out on in 2019.

Alex shared a photo of himself with Sean Kingston, taken in 2019, with the caption: “Please tell the FEDS who indicted @seankingston on a $1M fraud scheme to add $600 to the indictment. It’s for the tab #SeanKingston walked out on, in 2019 at my bar/club in #Kingston #Jamaica.” He continued, “P.S. The photo was taken about 2 hours before he walked out on his tab. Otherwise, I wouldn’t be smiling.”

Alex Antaeus’ comment comes after the “Beautiful Girls” hitmaker and his mother, Janice Turner, were formally charged on July 19 in Miami federal court in connection with a US$1 million wire fraud scheme.

The 34-year-old entertainer and his 61-year-old mother were charged with one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and five counts of wire fraud for their involvement in a scheme to defraud victim sellers of high-end speciality vehicles, jewellery, and other goods purchased via fraudulent documents.

If convicted, both face up to 20 years in prison for each of the six counts.

However, according to Sean Kingston, the case has been dismissed. In the comment section of a post by The Shade Room, Sean Kingston wrote, “Been dismissed! Smh,” and ended with the cap emoji.

Several reputable international outlets, including the Associated Press, the New York Times, the New York Post, NBC News, and CNN, have reported that Sean Kingston and his mother were charged and each face up to 20 years in prison if convicted.

Their next court appearance is set for August 9.
