GraceKennedy Limited (GK) has completed its acquisition of Jamaican manufacturing company, Unibev Limited.

Unibev specializes in fully integrated beverage solutions, which means it is involved in all aspects of the beverage manufacturing process, from sourcing raw materials to packaging.

In a statement this afternoon, GK said the acquisition of Unibev was a strategic transaction, which firmly cements its position as a leader in the Jamaican spring water market.

GK has already invested in the water sector with the acquisition of the 876 spring water brand and an increased stake in Catherine’s Peak.

Unibev Limited is GK’s sixth manufacturing facility in Jamaica.
