Gov’t working with JPS to fast-track power restoration work in western parishes
The government is working with the Jamaica Public Service, JPS to ensure electricity restoration to parishes hardest hit by Hurricane Melissa is fast-tracked.
Justice Minister Delroy Chuck gave the assurance during a tour of court facilities in western Jamaica to assess damage caused by the hurricane.
Citing the devastation, Mr. Chuck emphasized that the government remains focused on recovery, restoration and rebuilding and is working to ensure that power is restored to affected parishes soon.
