After days of communication challenges in Trelawny, Local Government Minister Desmond McKenzie says he has received an update from the parish, which was battered by the hurricane.

The minister said several facilities including the infirmary, the court house and the municipal corporation building were destroyed.

He said St. James also sustained significant damage.

He said access to Starlink will be provided to the 5 worst affected parishes to ensure communication.
