Gov’t identifies just under 50 businesses to be supported through grants/loans to recover from Hurricane Melissa
The Government has identified just under 50 businesses that will get support, through grants or loans, to recover from the impacts of Hurricane Melissa.
Prime Minister Dr Andrew Holness has tasked the Ministry of Industry, Investment and Commerce to manage the process.
Speaking at a press briefing, Dr Holness noted that as the country gradually returns to normalcy, businesses need to be operational.
Dr Holness said the selected businesses are in 2 of the most affected parishes.
He acknowledged that the Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica, PSOJ, is also helping businesses to return to normal operations.
